11/14/2022 0 Comments Tridef 3d lag![]() on the computer itself with no input lag and no computer noise either and all in 3D. XCOM was great - it looked like a real tabletop game, though I had some issues with UI. Posted by CeeJaySFII: 3D Vision vs Tridef, whats your experience. To give you an example - Skyrim is glorious and I'm getting through it once again, just for the sake of 3D. I think my final conclusion would be: I enjoy playing on my home 3D setup, but I generally prefer non-competitive games, and not too fast paced. It was a funny experience though, and who knows - you might get better results with the NVIDIA drivers, active glasses and a dedicated 3D monitor instead of a TV When I crossed the corner I often lost a second to "readjust" and see what's in front, and I also had some trouble aiming. Overall I stopped playing this way, because I was simply performing worse in 3D, than on 2D screen. Tried to fiddle with the depth settings, but the effect was there all the time. The eyes had to constantly refocus from the croshair to the tank I was aiming at. They felt way too long Even worse, the crosshair and the UI elements were floating too close. The bad part - tanks looked a bit strange in a third person view. There was a real sense of depth, much more pronounced than in many 3D movies. I show how to use tridef 3d drivers to play PC games in stereoscopic 3Dtested: Batman Arkham City, Arkham Origins, Arkham Knight, Strider. The good part - it looked great and very immersive. I was able to run WOT straight away, without installing any profiles or fiddling with settings. Out of those, Tridef seems to work best for me.Īnyway, Tridef Ignition discovered WOT as one of the compatible games, and the driver properly recognized my TV as a 3d Screen. You can use either NVIDIA 3DTV Play drivers, Tidef or IZ3D. The game doesn't have to support 3D in shape or form, the driver does all the work. For those of you who don't know - you can play pretty much every PC game in 3D, often to a very good result. I used Radeon 5850 and Tridef drivers with HD3D output to the screen via HDMI 1.4a cable (stock LG passive glasses). I had a wireless USB keyboard and mouse, and I was sitting on a couch 2m from the screen. (the 3D field is a bit of a mess right now to be honest.Just recently I experimented with playing WOT on a 42 inch passive 3D TV from LG (42lm765s). For TV's, HDMI 2.0 finally defines Full HD resolution 3D 60 Hz, so with a compliant video card and TV, it should be possible by a game to natively support full res 3D. There are better 3D schemes implemented mostly by gaming monitors via Display port. It's hard to make sense of some UI and dash elements (The same problem plagues the current Oculus (DK2) as well) The biggest shortcoming of side-by-side is obvious the resolution getting halved. And when you look at the dash your eyes focus close. But you get realistic sense of focus points in terms of depth when you look up ahead of the road your eyes focus deep into the picture. You don't actually get two eye positions. What TriDef seems to do is just some shenanigans on the pictures based on depth buffer. Obviously with Full HD display you will get somewhat poor halved resolution, and you will also get slight bit of lag added to the picture, but not too much to be able to enjoy some leisure driving. For non-3D gaming, I put the ViewSonic through the usual lag tests, with both faster and regular response enabled. Just force your TV into side-by-side mode, put on the glasses and go. The menus will be in normal 2D mode, but once you launch some track it should intercept the picture and go to side-by-side 3D. Select to import profile, and use the "Generic No Raw Input (DDD).TriDefGame" you downloaded. \SteamApps\common\assettocorsa\AssettoCorsa.exe It won't recognize Assetto Corsa, so click on "Add Game" (ps, the other 3D types could be worth supporting natively as well, but I don't know how common the required hardware is for them.) Select "Side by Side" as 3D display type. It will give you a 14-day trial option when you install.ĭownload the "Generic No Raw Input (DDD).TriDefGame" profile. Suggestion: Virtual mirror on/off setting per carītw, if you want to get a small taste of how it feels with a 3D TV, and since I already spent the time in figuring it out, here's how Suggestion: save button in gui menu between sessions ![]() My Suggestions for Rating
